Jiggy Flows: The Alternate Sunflower & Surf's Up Sessions

It definitely DOES exist.
It definitely IS completed.
It definitely IS named JIGGY FLOWS (THE ALTERNATE SUNFLOWER & SURF'S UP SESSIONS).

Both Jiggy and I have spoken PUBLICLY about it.

Jiggy and I worked on it for 2 years.
Us two put the whole fucking thing together.
Hours and hours and hours and hours.

As the official Jigolo Records™ consultant, I was asked my opinion throughout and consulted with brains and heart.
I got the compilation green-lit by the label.
I saved it from dying on the vine TWICE.

It's incredible.
It forever changes the way Feel Flows will be viewed as a musical entity at the turn of the decade.

It IS released.

    1. Thanks! Glad to be back. I'm working backwards a little bit here in regards to these releases. Later this year will come a 1968 set, followed by a Smile set afterwards. Then we'll see what happens with the 1972 set.

    1. Hey man, how've you been! Yes, I am absolutely planning on "Jiggy and the Passions - So Tough to Mix!" after the release of the 1972 set. But before that, I'm almost done with my two "disc" 1968 set, "Something Great from '68," so look forward to that!

  9. Discovering this blog has been life-changing. You guys (if not mostly Jiggy, I'm unsure about the exact distribution of work to credit) have produced such an excellent collection of remixes ans re-masters that in my opinion the music was never truly finished until you got your hands on it. They should get you to work on the official re-releases they are churning out because you deserve serious coin for this level of effort my friend! Seriously, thank you. I feel like I'm listening to all of my favorite music for the first time and that means so much to me.

I'm just curious, have you considered giving the Jiggy treatment to some of the older albums like Today! and Summer Days/Summer Nights? I would be so pumped to see the alternate track-listing and re-mixing of something like Summer Days, I feel like you could really pull the hidden masterpiece out of a lot of their early work - perhaps even a "Best of" mix album of the stronger material from their albums and singles pre-Pet Sounds, etc.

If you're continuing along chronologically does that mean we're going to be seeing 15 Big Ones/ Love You coming up next? It's super exciting to think about hearing that material with your magic touch applied to it. Whatever the case I'm so pumped to have found this project and can't wait to see what you work on in the future! Jiggy presents "Summer in Paradise", perhaps? xD Lmao cheers friend!

    1. Thank you so much for this lovely message! Believe it or not, these sets are put together just by me, myself and I. There are people who give me feedback who I thank in the notes, but I'm the only one behind this site. The blurbs used for these posts are all based on comments made by Howie Edelson over on the Smiley Smile message board, just with a humorous twist on them haha.
So for future plans, right now I'm working on a Smiley Smile/Wild Honey two-disc set, which should be out by the fall. Then, as digital extraction technology has been constantly improving upon itself, I'll be doing an improved/expanded Jiggy Flows 2.0 sometime after that. After that will be a 1965 set in the same style as the 2014 Keep an Eye On Summer copyright extension release. For me to do a 15 Big Ones/Love You set, there'd have to be an accompanying boxset for me to work off of, so maybe once 2026 comes along. A lot of these sets are focused on amending the errors made in the official sets, so I can't make corrections on sets that don't exist yet!
