Welcome!

Well, this site looks confusing as hell! I decided to start up my own blog site for all this stuff I'm posting in the event that my youtube account is shut down due to copyright laws and whatnot etc. For those of you not familiar with all of this, well, my name is Scott G___, I'm an 18-year-old someone who's obsessed with music and playing around with it. My top three music groups would have to be the Beach Boys, the Beatles, and The Doors, I'm definitely more into older music than anything else! Specifically psychedelic music and whatnot, stuff that makes you think, you know? Brian Wilson is my idol and role model, he's shaped and influenced my life in a way I've never really imagined! He's inspired me to pursue a major in music production once I go off to college later this year, don't you think that's pretty cool? Here you'll find all of my alternate albums (Beach Boys, Beatles, Monkees, etc.), mp3 and FLAC downloads, individual songs, etc, etc, etc. I'm really looking forward to sharing all of my alternate Beatles albums and remixes, I hate how they've practically been banned from Youtube! My biggest inspiration for this all would have to be soniclovenoize, he's another blogger who posts his own alternate albums, you should definitely check him out while you're at it! So anyways, I hope you enjoy what you see here, and stay tuned for the great things to come!

  1. Your work is stellar! Keep up the great work! I had an idea for you, what about an alternate Love & Mercy soundtrack featuring all the the pieces that Atticus Ross scored including "Deep End" and "Headphones". You can source all of the audio from the movie itself using a Video to mp3/whatever audio format and edit the audio from there. Excited to see where you go from here with this new blog. You inspire me as well, being 18 and loving to edit and master older music as well, especially 60's and 70's rock. I know we were talking before about the different versions of good vibrations so maybe on the 50th anniversary of its release you can release a compilation of the eveolution of vibrations with all the versions and variations!

    1. That's the plan. I'll also be posting albums that I can't post on youtube due to copyright laws, like all of my alternate Beatles albums and whatnot.

  7. I've been following your blog for a few months now. You mentioned that the Monkees were one of your favs. Would they be the next artist featured after the Beatles albums come to an end?

    1. Thank you! And yes, after I finish my Beatles thing, I'll post a few additional Beach Boys albums that aren't part of the "main discography" (The Fading Rock Group Revival, New Album, The SMiLE, Sunflower, and Love You Box Sets, etc), and then I'll start posting the Monkees stuff.

  12. Many thanks for your excellent website. What an exhaustive Beach Boys coverage! Also, thanks for also including MP3 format, which I prefer to FLAC. We appreciate all the work you've put into this, which is probably more than we can imagine. These great artists deserve this kind of coverage!

  13. I was directed here only moments ago in a thread of a Beatles forum. BeatlegDB! as in data base. It is open to everyone but there is NO Posting of 'OTHER ARTISTS' but it's pretty exciting at times. From your writing I understand that you are ahead of the herd. Your main points are sheer beauty and I agree with you about a fan's actual function being all that music has left. I believe fans know everything about the music. That means an unmistakable insight that is loving forging and critical. The emotional themes and strengths and hooks and melodies and contexts have never been understood by industry cogs. They would never admit to Brian that they have never understood his work...that they believe HE doesn't understand his own genius! If he became confident enough he might do really stupid stuff. Like find a better label! But, that's old hat! The future of Beatles and Doors and Beach Boys is likely to be an egg that is finally hatching! Everything that is AI and demixing is the Hope for change. Our bands made sacred racket...but some of it was just made too hastily! We love the same Beach Boys. I can't wait to hear this! Thank you.
I had Brian sign a SMiLE vinyl bootleg Double LP on plain label(Brother version #3) and a Japanese single CD bootleg that was from a Capitol(1990?) internal -use cassette and a legit commercial 1967 U.S. Heroes and Villains Pic Sleeve! It was in 1991 at a RockFest in L.A. Bonaventure(possibly KLOS 95.5FM or KLSX 97.1FM)...
    Thank you, Scott!
